Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory Authority

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management and staff of Tanzania Fertilizer Regulatory Authority (TFRA), I am delighted to welcome you to our new website where you can access a range of services offered by the Authority. TFRA was established by the Fertilizer Act No. 9 of 2009 and became operational in August 2012 with the purpose of making provisions for regulating the manufacturing, importation, exportation, distribution and utilization of agricultural fertilizers. Since the inception of TFRA, deliberate efforts have been made to create a conducive working environment that supports the institutional mandates provided in the Act and its Regulations.

In response to our customers’ needs and improving service delivery, the new website will provide 24/7 customer service worldwide, we are pretty certain that our existence on the web will add value in terms of efficient and timely service delivery, interaction and feedback with our customers and stakeholders globally.

It is my belief that the website is informative and educational to the general public, through which various publications, photos and video will easily available for public access and consumption. Such documents are the Fertilizer Act, 2009 and its Regulations, Registered fertilizer and fertilizer supplements and annual reports, thus making the site a one stop centre of TFRA information and services.

TFRA is committed to its corporate vision of “Quality Fertilizers to all Farmers for Agriculture Sustainability” by making sure farmers throughout the country have access to quality and affordable fertilizer for sustainable agricultural development.
